Salt Lake City’s Trusted Furnace Repair Team
We started Furnace Repair SLC with one goal: give Salt Lake City homeowners a heating company they can call without second-guessing the bill. No bait-and-switch pricing, no unnecessary replacements, no runaround.

Built on One Simple Idea — Be Honest
Furnace Repair SLC started in 2014 when our founder got tired of watching homeowners get oversold by companies more interested in replacement commissions than actual repairs. He had spent years as a licensed HVAC technician and knew most furnace failures had a straightforward fix.
We launched with a flat-rate pricing model, a no-replacement-unless-necessary policy, and a commitment to show up the same day whenever possible. Salt Lake City winters are not forgiving. A broken furnace at 5 AM in January is an emergency — we treat it like one.
Today our team holds four active industry certifications — EPA Section 608, Utah DOPL H100, RMGA, and NATE — and we service the full Salt Lake Valley from one central location. Every technician we hire goes through a background check and a hands-on skills assessment before they step into a customer’s home.
We have not changed our approach since day one: diagnose it right, fix it fairly, and back the work with a written warranty.
How We Work
The Standards We Hold Ourselves To
These are not marketing slogans. They are the commitments every technician on our team makes every day.
Flat-Rate Pricing
We quote the price before we start. The number we give you is the number on the invoice — no labor surprises, no part markups added after approval.
Repair First Policy
We never recommend replacement when repair is the right call. Our technicians earn the same whether they fix a $15 part or sell a new unit — so their advice stays honest.
Same-Day Response
We keep technicians available for same-day calls six days a week. When your heat stops working, we do not schedule you a week out.
1-Year Written Warranty
Every repair we complete comes with a written one-year parts-and-labor warranty. If the same issue returns within that window, we come back at no charge.
Background-Checked Technicians
Every technician we send to your home passes a background check and a hands-on skills evaluation. You know who is coming before we arrive.
Fully Licensed in Utah
We hold the H100 HVAC Qualifier license from Utah DOPL, EPA Section 608 certification, RMGA certification, and NATE certification — all current and verifiable.
Licensed & Certified
Our Professional Certifications
Every technician holds active, verified credentials. These certifications are not optional — they are required before anyone works on a customer’s furnace.
EPA Section 608 Certification
Federally required for any technician who handles refrigerants. Issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and mandatory for all HVAC service work involving refrigerant systems.
H100 HVAC Qualifier License
State license from the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL). Formerly the S350, this license is required to legally perform HVAC work in Utah.
Rocky Mountain Gas Association
Regional certification that validates safe gas piping and appliance installation. Specific to the Rocky Mountain region and demonstrates expertise with the gas systems common in Utah homes.
NATE Certified Technicians
North American Technician Excellence is the largest non-profit HVAC certification in the U.S. NATE technicians pass rigorous exams on real-world service knowledge across heating and cooling systems.
